Summary
The Power of Democracy Steering Committee promotes civic learning, inclusive of the courts, for all of California’s K-12 students. This interim report provides information on the current scope and impact of both the Civic Learning Award for California public schools, co-sponsored by the Chief Justice and State Superintendent of Public Instruction, and the California Task Force on K-12 Civic Learning’s final report, released in August 2014.
