This presentation is intended to familiarize the Judicial Council with relatively new research in social psychology and cognitive science which suggests how judges, attorneys and justice partners might reduce the influence of unconscious bias on decision-making. Moreover, it is intended to highlight efforts to provide training and information within the judicial branch.
