Summary

Summary

Assembly Bill 1877 (Jackson; Stats. 2024, ch. 811) enacted Welfare and Institutions Code section 788, a juvenile record sealing statute. Under the statute, county probation officers are required to initiate a record sealing process for individuals 18 years of age or older upon the termination of juvenile court delinquency jurisdiction. The Family and Juvenile Law Advisory Committee proposes amending three court rules, approving two new forms, and revising four existing forms to implement AB 1877.
